Know Jesus, life begins.
Jesus came to earth, died on a cross, and was raised to life to rescue you from sin, make you alive, and bring you into eternal relationship with God.
Do you want to know Jesus?
Knowing Jesus is all about entering into a relationship with Him through accepting Him as your savior. Jesus saves you when you repent and trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of sin. Salvation is God’s gift to you and cannot be earned by anything you do. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
But why do we need to know Jesus?
God is holy and without sin. We are unholy and with sin. (Romans 3:23) This means that apart from Jesus, every person is separated from God. (Romans 6:23) Thankfully Jesus intervened on our behalf. He died for our sins in our place so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life. (Romans 5:8) Then, three days later, Jesus rose in victory over sin and death.
Salvation is the start of a relationship.
Salvation is about so much more than just getting to heaven. It’s about being able to live the full life that God created you for. (John 10:10)
When we decide to follow Jesus we are acknowledging that our way isn’t working anymore. From that moment on, we are never alone. Jesus is a friend that never leaves us or forsakes us. He gives us His Spirit to guide us and access to the God who loves us.
Salvation is for everyone
Salvation is available to all people. No one has sinned too much or is too far. Jesus’ desire is that all would be saved. (2 Peter 3:9)
You can accept Jesus into your life right now no matter who you are and no matter where you are.
If you are ready to give your life to Jesus, you can right now by praying this simple prayer:
“Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner and that I have messed up from time to time. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that God raised Him from the dead. I choose to follow You, Jesus, and I confess that You are my Savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. I love You. Amen.”
Can you lose your salvation?
You didn’t earn your salvation, so you can’t lose your salvation. If you have put your trust in Jesus and the Holy Spirit has changed your heart, God promises that nothing and no one can separate you from Him. (Romans 8:38-39)
Did you just ask Jesus into your life?
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, you are a Christian. You might not feel any different, but the gospel is about facts not feelings, and if you have put your faith in Christ than you have been forgiven and He has come in to your life.
